The British Inter-Counties Mountain Running Championships

North Wales men finished a very creditable 8^th team in the event led home by 11^th placed Tom Wood (Eryri Harriers) 1:10:16 followed by: 41^st Rhys Jones (Hebog) 1:17:28. 50^th Gavin Roberts (Calder Valley) 1:18:46 and 56^th Sion Edwards (Eryri Harriers) 1:20:22 with North Wales reserve athlete Ifan Oldfield (Wrexham) finishing 58^th 1:21:01.

Despite some late withdrawals, North Wales women competed very well to finish 12^th in the team standings led home by 26^th placed Joanne Henderson (Denbigh H) 1:46:25 followed by: 52^nd Kasia Osipowicz (Eryri Harriers) 1:57:22 and 58^th Ceri Vaughan (Prestatyn RC) U/23 2:00:17.

Tom Wood also ran in Friday evening’s (19/04/24) uphill only GB European Off-Road Running Championship trial race from Dodds Wood, Keswick to the summit of Skiddaw 6km/780m and ran very well to finish 10^th overall 40:05 with Ifan Oldfield 38^th overall 47:59.
