ENDURANCE OFFICIALS

The discipline of endurance in athletics (or off-track), is generally applied to the disciplines of road running, cross country, trail and fell/mountain.

Here in North Wales, in association with British Athletics (B.A.) and Welsh Athletics, we hold courses using material provided by B.A. which enable those interested in becoming officials to progress from entry-level (level one) up to level three; the latter enabling an official to act as an adjudicator at Regional level and referee at National events. We are always pleased to hear from anyone interested in becoming an official; indeed without our officials, we cannot continue to manage our sport.

Full details of what the courses cover can be found at the address below. All the courses are free to candidates and details of upcoming courses will appear both here and on the National Body website: https://www.welshathletics.org/en/page/endurance-officials.

Bernie Jones has been appointed as a mentor by Welsh Athletics for endurance officials.  He is available for advice and support to anyone interested in progressing as an endurance official.
